Run in protected areas while raising funds for our collective natural heritage.
The WILDSERIES was established to profile South Africa’s spectacular natural heritage while raising funds for endangered species (cranes, rhino, wild dog and the bearded vulture) as well as to support the work of our conservation partners, the Karkloof Conservancy, Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife and SANParks.
All funds raised through all events will be used to enable priority species and conservation work being done by the WILDTRUST in partnership with all the conservation partner agencies.
All WILDSERIES entries are Covid-19 proof and should we not be able to host the event safely on all the stipulated dates, all runners with paid entries will have the option to either roll their entries over to 2023 OR request a refund in line with our refund policy.
Run for more than yourself.
Here are some other events that we are associated with.
Should the event be cancelled due to COVID government imposed regulations, then all entries shall receive a 90% refund on the entry fee. The bank and online fee is unfortunately non-refundable. Should the event be cancelled for any other reason other than negligence on behalf of the organisers, or should a participant not be able to make the event for whatever reason, including illness, then the following refund policy will be applied:
The GRANDSLAM is an ALL ACCESS PASS into all 3 trail running events of the WILDSERIES. To qualify for the GRANDSLAM status, one needs to enter ALL 3 EVENTS being the Three Cranes (10 – 13 March), Mont-Aux-Sources (9 – 11 September) and Golden Gate Challenge (20 – 23 October) This package includes the conservation donation, race garment (goodie bag), all meals for the weekend, campsite (bring along own camp gear) and weekend of running. Those who have completed the series will receive a special award at the last event of the series being the Golden Gate Challenge.
This includes your conservation fee, meals for the weekend, race garment (goodie bag), campsite (bring along camp gear) and a weekend of running.
This is a 'no bells and whistles' package that only pays for you to join the event festivities and just run in our unique WILD environments. You may purchase the race garment and meals at the event.
This is a portion of your entry fee that goes directly to the conservation partner to enable the work we do in partnership with the organization. For Three Cranes it is R600 towards the Karkloof Conservancy. For the Mont-Aux-Sources Challenge it is R330 (50km and 21km) which goes towards Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife. Lastly Golden Gate Challenge it is R660 (73km), R330 (27km), R220 (17km) and R110 (10km) – You all qualify for S18A Tax benefit for donation portion for all events. Please request one should you want one by emailing email@example.com
All funds generated from the conservation donations go directly to our conservation partners. These range from Crane to Bearded Vulture conservation as well as the biodiversity conservation of the protected areas where our participants run. Ultimately your funds help us conserve and sustain these areas for today and for future generations.
Due to the challenging times we have all experienced due to the pandemic, all entries for events do not close until we have reached our cap. Kindly email firstname.lastname@example.org should you need clarity. Should entries close earlier than expected, this will be announced on all our social media pages and via email.
