About Us

Our Purpose

The WILDSERIES was established to profile South Africa’s spectacular natural heritage while raising funds for endangered species (cranes, rhino, wild dog and the bearded vulture) as well as to support the work of our conservation partners, the Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, SANParks and Nambiti Private Game Reserve.

Fundraising

All funds raised through all events will be used to enable priority species and conservation work being done by the WILDTRUST in partnership with all the conservation partner agencies.

ALL WILDSERIES Events Entries are Covid-19 proof

All WILDSERIES entries are Covid-19 proof and should we not be able to host the event safely on all the stipulated dates, all runners with paid entries will have the option to either roll their entries over to 2023 OR request a refund in line with our refund policy.

Refund Policy

Should the event be cancelled due to COVID government imposed regulations, then all entries shall receive a 90% refund on the entry fee. The bank and online fee is unfortunately non-refundable. Should the event be cancelled for any other reason other than negligence on behalf of the organisers, or should a participant not be able to make the event for whatever reason, including illness, then the following refund policy will be applied:

More than 90 Days – 80% refund
60-90 Days – 50% refund
30-60 Days – 30% refund
0-30 Days – 10% refund

You know you have done something incredible if you can host an event that allows someone to come and give back to conservation by running an amazing trail run while taking in the beautiful scenery.

Running takes you to beautiful places, be it close to home or further across the country or overseas. I’ve been running for 25 years, with my first long trail run being the Mont-Aux-Sources Challenge in 1998 or 1999. Be it a great or bad day of running, take a moment to look around, we live in a beautiful country.

It was so special to see how one event can contribute so much to the conservation and sustainability of a precious area, it was an honour and privilege to have been given the opportunity to run in this special part of our country, we are truly blessed.

I did this run for the first time in 2020 and I absolutely fell in love with the event, especially the section through the indigenous forest. Its feels as though you are somewhere in South America, but it is right on our doorstep.

WILDSERIES events supports our environment and the real people who live there enabling all of us to keep enjoying the beautiful country we live in.

After experiencing the incredible (10/10) atmosphere at the Golden Gate challenge, I decided to give all the WILDSERIES events a try.

Running the Golden Gate Challenge gave me a range of feelings from euphoria to exhaustion, but they were all complete bliss.
